This video shows our very proud Amur Tiger mum, Ronja, with her three 12 week old female cubs right after they had spent a short time with their dad, Pan, and then moved into his enclosure (and he moved next door again) as seen in their previous video on here. As you can see from this video that with all their new 'toys' to play with they soon settled in and investigated everything...the trees, the pond, the rocks and tree trunks. Settle down for the next 15 minutes and just enjoy watching these cubs and their ever growing self-confidence...but be prepared for lots of tigger tummies, big paws and some fantastic mothering skills from Ronja to help them settle in. Obviously if you are playing this hard you need to take some cub-naps, which this group and mum do SO well!

This video shows our very proud Amur Tiger mum, Ronja, with her three 17 week old cubs. The girls are much braver and their play fighting skills are getting more energetic, and mischievous! They still love just running round chasing each other and they are learning to give dad, Pan, his space, 'most' of the time! All the play fighting is helping them develop their strength, and they are growing up fast!

Thank you so much for watching!

With huge excitement, we’re pleased to announce the newest arrival of The Big Cat Sanctuary - a female jaguar named Keira!
This beautiful girl was born on 2nd April 2017 at our sister park, Paradise Wildlife Park in Hertfordshire. Keira has moved to The Big Cat Sanctuary by recommendation to be paired with our male jaguar, Neron, in the hope that they will breed as part of the European Endangered Species Programme (EEP).

Since arriving in Kent in mid-August Keira has settled in well to life here at the Sanctuary. She is a wonderful girl; confident yet cautious, we saw her exploring her new enclosure (situated next door to Neron) within twenty-four hours of arrival. This is incredibly impressive for a new arrival after moving home.

We anticipate that Keira will start to feature on our day-to-day experiences in the near future, for now she is taking the time she needs to be fully comfortable in her new home.

Watch the video below to see how Keira got in her first twenty-four hours at the Sanctuary. Welcome to the family, Keira! 🐾
