Blessed is the one who doesn’t go
In the counsel of the wicked people,
And hasn’t stood in the way of the sinners,
And hasn’t sat in the seat of the scornful people.
But whose delight is in the law,
It is in the Law of the LORD;
And who meditates
In His Law by day and by night.
And that one is like a tree planted
By the rivulets of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season,
And its leaf shall not fall,
And whatever they do shall be prospered.
The wicked are not so,
But they are like chaff that the wind blows away.
Therefore, the ungodly will not stand,
They won’t stand in the judgment.
Nor sinners in the congregation,
In the congregation of the righteous,
For the Lord knows the way of the just;
But the way of the ungodly leads to extinction.
